This was an age when giants like David Hume, Samuel Johnson, Voltaire and many others roamed the Earth, and Scotsman James Boswell tootled around among them. All ages, centuries, peoples and powers have their fascination, but only the Eighteenth deserves EVERYONE’s attention and study.
